Other | In December 2003, the CCBB was approved as member of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) banking network. The CCBB continuously maintains its membership and currently lists all of its available cord blood units with the NMDP. In November 2006, the CCBB was awarded a contract from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to participate in the National Cord Blood Inventory (NCBI) of the CW Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program. The CCBB has been funded in Cohorts 1 and 5 of this program. In 2010, the CCBB was granted licensure to collect umbilical cord blood in the State of New York by the New York State Department of Health. The CCBB has maintained continuous licensure since 2010. In June 2012, the CCBB Laboratory received Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) accreditation. In June 2012 the CCBB Processing Laboratory received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP). In October 2012, the CCBB received BLA approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). |
