Ezer Mizion Registry Statement 15 June 2025 for WMDA In light of the unexpected escalation in the security situation in Israel this weekend, we wish to inform centers regarding the pending stem cell donations from our registry. Ezer Mizion is operating as normally as possible under these circumstances. However, due to the uncertainty of the situation, we will conduct risk assessments on every ongoing and new Workup request based on the availability of the donors and the flight status. Our national airport is closed for all outgoing flights and airlines. We track the flight status daily and are in direct contact with the Israeli airlines and the Ministry of Transportation. Due to this situation, we request the following: 1) For ongoing and future Workups, TCs should cryopreserve all products. Cryopreservation has been approved by our Medical Director until further notice. 2) Make sure you have backup donors for your patients in case Workups must be cancelled at the last moment. 3) Please check the flight status and couriers availability with your courier companies as closely as possible regarding the transport timelines. We highly recommend using the Royal International courier company. We can assist, or you may contact Royale directly yehuda.shlezinger@royaleinternational.com. 4) Please note that VT and pre-collection samples are temporarily delayed as FedEx operations are halted.
We remain dedicated to doing our best to provide donations in these unfortunate times. All scheduled stem cell collections were carried out as planned, and we are pleased to confirm that full operational capacity has now been restored. We want to acknowledge and thank you for your help and understanding during this time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WMDA strongly condemns the violence that is occurring in Ukraine, Israel and Gaza. We offer our sympathies to all those who are suffering because of these conflicts. We extend our support to the donor registries and medical centers whose donors and patients are negatively affected by these crises. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
