WMDA strongly condemns the violence that is occurring in Ukraine, Israel and Gaza. We offer our sympathies to all those who are suffering because of these conflicts. We extend our support to the donor registries and medical centres whose donors and patients are negatively affected by these crises.

titlePlease note: there are several spaces who are only accessible for WMDA members with a WMDA Share account. Please log in with your account details to have access to the member spaces. (Spaces names underlined in grey are not accessible for you).

WMDA works on a broad scope of issues related to the clinical use of donor blood stem cells. WMDA members have specific expertise in donor care, stem cell transplantation, immunology, HLA, blood stem cell donation, donor recruitment, and other related fields. For professionals seeking a network with a broad knowledge of unrelated blood stem cell donation, WMDA membership has a benefits package that will help you meet your goals.

What is WMDA Share?

WMDA Share is an online collaboration tool where the WMDA members collaborate and share knowledge. If you are a WMDA member, you have a WMDA Share account, with this account you are able to log in. As a WMDA member you will have access to the member access spaces, and if you are a working group members to the working group spaces. WMDA members, can create, share and discuss their files, ideas, minutes and projects with other members.

The benefits of using WMDA Share:

  • In a nutshell, WMDA Share allows to publish web pages that you can read and edit online via a web browser.
  • You can create something as simple as text on a page or add images, diagrams, activity streams, videos, and more.
  • WMDA Share puts your content online in a central place where your team can search, edit and discuss it at any time

If you have questions related to the use of WMDA Share, please contact Paulien Kort (paulien.kort@wmda.info).

titleHoliday calendar abbreviations:

The WMDA used the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 standard to abbreviate all countries to three-letter codes. The countries that have more than one registry are given a suffix to distinguish them. These suffixes are used:

CAN-HQ = Canada Héma-Québec public Cord Blood Bank
CAN-OM = Canada OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network
CHN-M = China Marrow Donor Program
CHN-HK = China Hong Kong
DEU-D = Germany Düsseldorf
DEU-Z = Germany ZKRD
DNK-B = Denmark Bone Marrow Donor Registry
DNK-C = Denmark Copenhagen (DK2)
KOR-M = South Korea Marrow Donor Program
USA-A = USA American Bone Marrow Donor Registry
USA-GL = USA Gift of Life
USA-NMDP = USA National Marrow Donor Program

Please note that if there is no suffix, the holiday is observed by all registries in that country.

How to change dates in the organisation closure agenda?

In November/December the WMDA office makes an inventory of all the organisation closure dates. This overview will send to the primary contact of the organisations. The primary contacts will have time till 2 weeks before new year to make changes into this overview and send it back to the WMDA office.

In case you would like to change a date during the year, please click on the button below and complete the form: ConfiForms (FormView) Registrations Control
