  • worldmarrowdonorday.org: the content of these pages is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
  • education.info: the content of the pages of this e-learning platform is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice. Educational courses are divided into modules, which are finished with an exam. Users have to complete the exam within a defined timeframe with a minimum score in order to obtain a certificate.
  • search.wmda.info: service operated on behalf of the WMDA Organisational Members, WMDA creates and operates a searchable database of adult donors and cord blood units available for use in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The service is operated based on instructions of the WMDA Organisational Members. Use of the service is part of a search strategy and is only accessible for registered users (staff members of regular and provisional member organisations and authorised transplant centres).
  • data.wmda.info: service to export global trends data provided by participating organisations.
  • https://wmda.knack.com/spear#welcome/: service to export data provided by participating organisations.

If you are a Registered User or Active Member of WMDA, your use of the WMDA services is also governed by the Membership Agreement and our Privacy Policy, which can be found on the WMDA website. The right for personal access cannot be transferred, sold or rented to anyone else. Visitors of WMDA services are not allowed to submit sensitive personally identifiable information related to donors, patients, or other individuals who may not be members or users of WMDA or its member registries.

Accuracy of material and provided data

WMDA makes best efforts to keep material on these services up to date and accurate. If general errors, such as editorial errors are detected WMDA makes best efforts to correct them as appropriate. Documents published are as indicated, and sometimes they might not be in the final or formally accepted version.

No specific advice

Nothing in our services is to be considered to constitute advice on specific cases, including medical advice, unless it is stated otherwise.

Use of material

Neither WMDA nor any person acting on its behalf is responsible for the use that might be made of the information contained in these services. WMDA assumes no responsibility with regard to the use of material available in our services. Users act at their own risk when using material on the websites and they are hereby urged to take necessary precautions when evaluating the usefulness and applicability of this material for their intended purposes.

In spite of WMDA’s best efforts, sometimes technical errors might occur. WMDA does not warrant the error-free operation of its services. WMDA accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regard to material accessed, operated on or downloaded from its services.

Privacy Policy

The WMDA is committed to user privacy. The WMDA services have been structured so that users have to identify themselves with a username and a password. Any personal data that a user has to provide us will be used to support the relationship between the WMDA and this user. The purpose of obtaining these data to register WMDA members to be able to send WMDA communication including the invoice for services requested.

How is personal data obtained?

WMDA collects personal data that identifies you only if you voluntarily submit it by completing the online membership forms in the website -wmda.info-. When you consent to submit personally identifiable information to WMDA, WMDA will use the information for the purpose of membership administration. In case of the online learning platform, the personal information regarding your qualifications is collected when you participate in the online courses by answering the tests and doing other activities that are recording data in the platform and are needed to pass the course and obtain the diploma.

What are my rights as the Data Subject?

The Data Subject has the right to the following information about personal data being processed:

• Confirmation as to whether data related to him or her are being processed;
• Information about the purposes of the processing operations, the categories of data concerned, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data are disclosed;
• Communication of the data undergoing processing;
• Knowledge of the logic involved in any decision process concerning the use of the data subject’s personal data.

The Data Subject shall have the rights listed below:

• Access to information on his or her processed personal data;
• Rectification of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• Withdraw consent and the personal data will no longer be processed;
• Request that his or her personal data be completely erased from the WMDA services to which the data has been exported.

However, members or users are responsible for keeping themselves updated in relation to any changes to the Terms and Conditions.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim relating to the Terms and Conditions or the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising out of, or related to these Terms and Conditions or the Services, whether contractual or arising from unlawful act, must be exclusively brought before the courts of The Hague in the Netherlands.
